Advance Merry Christmas mga fans, latest news or medyo late news sa manila south indie scenery, finally Continent Records ay nag-release na ng 2^nd compilation featuring new bands from the south manila and 1 from cebu at 1 from CDO.  Tracks from Tani bands este promising bands tulad ng Lindenwood, Small Hands, Fools and Foes, Mind is a Terrible Thing, Molar Nevertheless atbp. Speaking of Continent Record bands, mga inaabangan nating mga pampakiliti ng mga tenga, starting with Small Hands ay naglabas na ng digital copy ng EP entitiled Wet Dog EP. Nag-eenjoy ako sa kakaibang tunog ng Small Hands, Indie twinkle guitars combined with with fast melodic HC beats, i think of Lemuria, Candy Hearts and Lifetime combined. Another band na very excited ako ang Lindenwood. Balita ko nasa recording process narin. Bet ko ang grupo na to dahil nadala nila yung lumang sound ng gruffy fast melodic punk ala HWM which i really like.  https://www.facebook.com/LindenwoodPH 

The Mind is a Terrible Thing ang banda ni Mr. Rhys Trillanes is bringing 90’s emo back in track. Yung mga die hard emo kids na namimiss yung mga deep elm, saddle creek at old jade tree records. Another southern band called themselves Fools and Foes with of members of Neverdie, Tom Story and Prophecyst na magbibigay ng kakaibang flavour kung nauumay ka na sa mga ingay ng distortion, sigawan at lakas ng paluan ng punk music, eto ang fresh para satin. Another release album mula sa longest-running punk band from Sucat, Paranaque Nevertheless entitled “Uprising Class”. 10 tracks mula sa boys from the south na magbibigay ng bilis at kalidad na tunog na Nevertheless lang ang may kakayahan! 2 sa leading ska-punk band ng Laguna, the Buzzer Beaters at No balls No Glory ay malapit narin maglabas ng recorded materials para satin. Kaabang-abang yan at tiyak na mapapasayaw na naman tayo dyan tulad ng live shows nila.   

The Boxers one of the most entertaining band from south ay nangangarap akong makapag-release narin sana ng bagong materyales nila bago matapos ang taon or sa pagbubukas ng 2015. Boxer boys konting start up naman jan! Kung meron man inaasahan parin yung two-steps funcore sa inyo ha?

Ang much awaited full length ng Taguig HC kings Empty ay finally ilalabas narin sana this December or 1^st quarter ng 2015. Nagparining si pareng Dixie last time nung EP launch ng TSY at tumayo ang balahibo ko sa narinig ko. Lastly ang pinaka nakakalungkot na pagsasara ng IDB, 3 taon ang spot na ito, 150+ shows ang nagawa, mula sa maliit na production hanggang sa ma-feature na sa big time rock magazine pero nanatili ang DIY spirit ng lugar na ito dahil naniniwala si Sharen na ito lang ang pwede nya itulong sa maliit na eksena ng south. Ilang mainstay bands ang nakapag-release ng EP, full length, compilation at kung anu-ano pa. From punk, hc metal grind crust ska indie rock etc. One thing for sure ang pwede mag host ng venue sa south manila ang IDB. Naiintindihan naming mga banda mahirap makahanap ng venue sa genre ng music natin. Pero naiintindihan ko rin na kelangan narin magsara ang IDB dahil hindi kaya sustain ang business. Salamat IDB.
